Annual California Coastal Cleanup Day

Activity
Kirby Cove
09/19/26 9:00 am – 09/19/26 12:00 pm

Join 15 Club Members and friends for our annual coastal clean-up of Kirby Cove. Bring a bag lunch and something to share for our picnic after clean-up. Claire and Steve Raffo are our captains this year.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the California Coastal Act to protect our shorelines, join us for the 42nd Annual California Coastal Cleanup Day on September 19th, from 9:00 to Noon.

Let’s plan to meet at 8:45 am at the roadblock to Kirby Cove in Sausalito, then follow the lead car to the parking lot. It’s a short hike down to the beach. (A map will be provided in early September.)

Marin Scuba Club 2025 California Coastal Cleanup Day

This is part of California’s largest annual volunteer effort every year, convening thousands of people on hundreds of beaches, rivers, and lakes in every corner of the state. We’ll remove trash from beaches and inland waterways, help protect wildlife, and safeguard our own health by eliminating plastic pollution before it causes more harm.

Join us to give back to our beaches.

What to bring:
• A picnic lunch
• Something to share
• Work gloves, sturdy closed-toed shoes, and a bucket if you have one
• A jacket or a windbreaker

We extend our thanks to the poster artist, Phyllis Shafer, for her beautiful donation.

Thanks! Co-chairs Steve Raffo and Claire Mikowski
